The Community
23 Triller is located in the heart of well established neighbourhoods and small communities giving the area a sense of a small town feel.
Shopping
Local markets provide produce of all kinds, fresh and virtually at your door step. For the fans of larger grocery stores, both discount and brand name stores are nearby.
A New and Growing Antique and Artist District
Needless to say, when a home is 100 years old, the neighbourhood is well established. Over the last 25 years, Sunnyside has been developing into the Antique district of western Toronto. Many local Queen street stores specialize in wares including period lighting from Sam The Chandelier Man, Musical Instruments and Repair, clothing at Stella Luna, antique and contemporary furniture of all types. The clock you see in our photos is a 100+ year old clock purchased in our own neighbourhood. You are sure to find old and new close by to decorate the home to your individual tastes.
Restaurants and Entertainment ...
Where do you start? I would suggest the local neighbourhood. The local venues are close by and cozy, not to mention hip and edgy. Local "must tries" include:
Restaurants and Entertainment - Along Queen ...
Amico's Pizza is arguably the best in town. No really! Sam, the owner and his wife have been running the shop for the past 20 years. They know Italian. |
 |
Mitzi's Sister, previously the Tennesee Bar and Grill, The patio seats 40 and serves a great selection of micro brews and massive servings of well-crafted pub dishes. This cool kitsch addition was the answer to the Mitzi's Cafe (also in the 'hood) bursting-at-the-seams brunch biz. |
|
Rhino's - When you are up to a walk, Rhino's is a great destination pub midpoint on your tour. With a selection of over 200 beers from 40 countries, you will be able to satisfy your desires. |
 |
Restaurants and Entertainment - North up Roncesvalles ...
Lala's Bistro a new addition to the neighbourhood. I have to say they have a great little menu and you can't beat their Schnitzel or Pirogi dinners. |
 |
Gate 403 another great local jazz bar with live entertainment on a regular schedule. |
|
The Revue Cinema is the antithesis of the newer jumbo multiplex's. Small, and volunteer run, it offers a nearby cinema experience in the old theatre style. |
 |
This list doesn't begin to touch on the variety of options available. You will need to put on a pair of shoes and explore the streets yourself!
Restaurants and Entertainment - On The Lakefront ...
Palais Royale was originally built as a boat house and dance hall in the 1920's. It has had a precarious life but has now been reborn as a trendy club venue. Check their schedule for events. |

 |
Ontario Place - Ontario Place Marina is a picturesque 240 slip marina just minutes from downtown and steps from the excitement of Ontario Place. Walking will take 15-20 minutes.

 |
Toronto Sailing and Canoe Club (TS&CC) - "Unlike many established clubs, which have diversified into other sports or activities, Toronto Sailing & Canoe Club is a club for which on-the-water sports are paramount. Our social activities flow from our shared love of sailing and canoeing, rather than being an end in themselves. Our facilities are pleasant, with a bar, a catered dining room and change rooms with showers. The focus, however, is on our sailing and paddling needs and therefore our facilities are simpler than other clubs'. These simple but pleasant facilities are maintained by the club's members and as a consequence, the club's fees are very reasonable. TS&CC's ambiance is casual and friendly. We hope you will visit and see for yourself how enjoyable an evening or afternoon can be with us." |
